The Origins Of Halloween
Even though the origins of Halloween and where it all started are still debated. The most popular theory is that it has ancient roots in the Irish Celtic festival Samhain. Many say it started in the Tlcahtga (pronounced Clack-da), County Meath, the ancient super old site of Samhain.
Whatever the case may be, there’s a festival that goes on here every year. But this isn’t your ordinary festival, it includes an iconic ensemble of night installations that resemble huge bonfires. They also have a real bonfire and go through ancient traditions and dances.
For those of you who want more than a 1-day festival, this one runs from October 31st to November 2nd. The iconic location has been used for thousands of years and those who run the festival promise it will be something you’ll never forget. You’ll also learn a lot of things about Halloween you probably didn’t know. And for those of you who think you know everything, we challenge you to find out more if you’re able to get to this event.
