An Inside Look At The Stanley Hotels Spooky Dance “The Shining Ball”

Estes Park, Colorado’s The Stanley hotel is the famous location for being the inspiration behind Stephen King’s book “The Shining”. The actualy reason for the entire book was because of one room……..room 217. He had some rather creepy occurrences that inspired him to write.

However the movie wasn’t actually filmed in the Stanley, but rather in Mt Hood, Oregon. The Stanley is no stranger to scary stories and horrifying experiences. Numerous people who have stayed and some who have left rather abruptly have had some odd things happen to them.

Take a beautiful yet really creepy and haunted place. Mix in a movie that was awesome but terrifying in its own right. Throw them together and add in a d.j. and Halloween party and you get THE SHINING BALL!

It’s part of an awesome weekend of Halloween events the Stanley puts on each year. You name it, they are probably having it during their Twin Terrors weekend.

If you’re planning on taking a vacation around this time of the year, then this would be the place to go!
