Washington D.C. is no stranger when it comes to the paranormal. It’s the nations capital and it has an extensive history. There are a lot of locations within the Washington D.C. area that are said to be haunted like the Octagon House. However, when it comes to ghosts and poltergeist, that last thing we would think of is a cat of all things. When you think of scary cats, you probably think of a black cat that belongs to a witch. But the history behind this one is murky at best.
From the mid 1800s to the early 20th century, the demon cat was a story that was spread a lot. The infamous black cat with red eyes that would strike fear into the hearts of those who saw it. Picture this, you find an amazing place and it looks great, the area is nice, the schools are good, but something feels off about it but you just can’t put your finger on it. Could it be that the house is haunted, or it could be that there’s something paranormal in nature going on within the house? Now the problem is that we can’t just go into a house and say something like “Oh hun, we can’t buy this house, my haunted house odometer says it’s too haunted.”
We all probably WISH we had some kind of meter like that, but this is reality and it’s not a Ghost busters movie. So in real life ghosts usually don’t show up right when you walk into a house. It usually takes some kind of time or renovating, or maybe some kind of energy has to be awakened or provoked before that actual activity starts. By that time your money is gone and you can’t get a refund for the house you just bought.
So what do you do?
You can start by asking questions, but is the owner and realtor legally responsible for disclosing that kind of information? Well what we found is that it varies from state to state, but most states have pretty clear laws about this kind of stuff, so if you’re worried that you MAY be potentially walking into a scene from a scary movie, do your homework first!

Every now and then we run into someone that wants to own a haunted house. Would you ever willingly buy a haunted house? What if you bought a home and it ended up haunted, would you want to move or get rid of the ghosts inside of the home? These are all questions you would have to sit and think about. Not all ghosts are the same, sometimes it’s an evil entity pretending to be a ghost. Other times you have powerful poltergeists that can do some serious damage to you and your house. Let us know what you would do, of if you’ve ever owned or rented a haunted house.
Whether you believe in curses or not, this story is a bit creepy when you actually look into it. The original Poltergeist movie came out in 1982 and many say that the movie production was cursed beyond belief. No one really knows WHY or HOW the curse may have started, but the film crew, cast, and production squad all came across some very bad luck and situations during and after filming it.
Some say that the curse all started with the fact that in one scene they used real human skeletons. Now the actors didn’t even think anything of it because they thought that the skeletons were fake, they thought that they were made of a plaster or hard rubber. But in reality the skeletons were actually real and no one knew about it until things started to get strange. One of the actresses in the original film was murdered in her driveway. A production assistant was involved in a freak crash, and another person that was behind the scenes also died under strange circumstances.
By the time the second film was set to begin production, more tragedy struck the cast and crew. They even did an exorcism on the set during the filming to see if they could get some of the bad energy away from the production. It’s pretty crazy to think that they did an exorcism because of the poltergeist curse.
Did it work?

With all of the bad things that happened on and off set to the cast and production crew, you have to wonder about the curse. Could it have been the skeletons that cause this or just the entire premise behind the movie? Could there have been other angry spirits or entities attached to the whole thing? Who knows, but what we do is know is that it makes for a very strange and creepy story.

It's no surprise that a jail would be a haunted location, especially one that people died in. But what about those that don't die in a jail but somehow or for some reason return back to that location after they pass on.
Why is this?
Could it be the violence that went on there when they were alive, could it be that they're looking for some sort of retribution for the years they feel that they wasted behind bars? Then again some say that it's the negative energy that brings these spirits back to locations like a jail, but others say that it's just residual energy.
But you would expect a large prison and not some tiny county jail like the Frankly County Jail to be haunted right? Well if you think that you're wrong because this location is said to be beyond haunted. Some say its poltergeist activity and that the spirits are angry, it makes sense though. If a spirit was angry as a person they’re going to be angry on the other side.

Austria’s Moosham castle has a very dark and creepy reputation. It’s one of those places that you didn’t want to be sent to as a prisoner. Reason being is if you did, chances are you probably wouldn’t be coming out alive.
The castle dates back to around the time of 1191 and since then has seen countless deaths. There are a lot of stories of how it became the witches castle, but the most well know is because of the insane amount of so called “witches” that were executed on those grounds.
Back then all someone had to do was accuse you of being a witch, and more than likely you would end up meeting a horrible fate. Its been said that the numbers of people who actually died there are in the tens of thousands, if not more.
Imagine the residual energy left behind from all that death and trauma. Those who have witnessed some of the ghostly activity say that its a direct result of a horrific past incidents. Almost like an old movie playing over and over of a terrible event. Some say there’s an evil presence that was left behind from those who were the accusers. It’s crazy to think that people would give out their own version of justice and fairness. When in fact they were the real vile creatures they thought they were destroying.

There’s an area near the north side of South Bend, Indiana right close to the Michigan state line that’s supposedly haunted. Actually we know for a fact that it’s haunted because we’ve been to this place on a few occasions. Primrose road is an extremely odd area, on one side of the there are some very expensive homes and then the road comes to a stop. The road forks off into a wooded area that hasn’t been paved.
It’s almost like going back in time, and the area looks like it would be a prime location for some homes. There’s a lot of stories that say this area is cursed and that a group of people were massacred here. People have reported seeing a phantom cabin and a person swinging a lantern in the dark. Stories tell that at one time there was an attempt to build houses in the area but there were too many odd things and accidents that happened there so they scrapped the project.
Indiana’s Most Haunted Primrose Road

We’ve been to a lot of locations in Indiana that are known for being haunted. But Primrose road isn’t like any other we’ve ever been to. The first time we went to Primrose we had a pretty creepy encounter with a shadow figure. We were driving through the wooded area when dark blob looking shadow darted right in front of our car. It made everyone in the car stop talking and start freaking out. We also saw shadows moving around in the woods, almost like they were watching us. On another occasion we saw a lantern type light swinging from a tree in the nearby woods. When we went back through that area we didn’t see it anymore. We figured there was someone in the woods messing with us. That is until we learned about the ghost who walks through woods with a lantern.
The other even creepier thing that happened to us while in that area was a run in with a phantom car. We’ve heard about people having run ins with a car that comes out of no where and then vanishes into thin air. That’s what happened to us, we were driving down the dirt road at around 5 mph. You can’t go any faster because the road is so bad. However, there was an old style car that all of the sudden was behind us. They ended up passing us, the creepiest part is that we couldn’t see inside of the car. The only thing we saw was a person looking back at us from the back seat. We all got this creepy feeling because the person looking back somewhat didn’t look real. It’s hard to explain, but when the car went around a small curve it vanished into thin air.

In 1964, it was smashed by an earthquake which actually as the worst in Alaskan history.
The home and school were hit the worst and in the process there were over 100 kids that died that day, but some say that number is debatable, some argue it was only a dozen or so. The location was rebuilt and eventually turned into a museum, and now the area is said to be haunted by the ghosts of the children that died on that day. There have been various reports of strange sounds, laughter, singing, and giggling coming from various parts of the location.

There’s an area in Hartselle, Alabama that’s a tiny one lane bridge locals call Cry Baby Hollow. At first glance the bridge really isn’t anything much to look at. It’s 12 feet across and looks like your average small creek side bridge. If you were driving by you wouldn’t even realize that it’s a paranormal hotspot. So why is the area so haunted, and what is the whole story behind it?
There are a few versions of the story, but apparently in the 1800’s a wagon overturned ejecting a baby into the creek. The baby passed away and so began the story of Cry Baby Hollow. Some say if you go to the creek at night you can hear the cries of a baby coming from the creek. Some say if you leave a candy bar on the bridge at night and then come back in the morning, a small bite will be taken out. Others say this is just more made stories in order to give strength to the legends of paranormal activity.
We’ve all grown up hearing stories of certain areas that are supposed to be haunted beyond all belief. But there are times some of these stories are made up. They’re campfire stories made up to keep people away. Throughout the years the stories gradually increase, as well as certain elements. Could this be the case of Cry Baby Hollow? There are those that have been to the location and claim they have had some pretty creepy happenings. So could the area have been haunted way before the stories started?
