The Most Haunted Place In California

Some might not know that one of the most haunted places in California is the Hollywood sign. You might be wondering why a sign might be at the forefront of paranormal activity. If you think about it, it’s the one thing that everyone sees. It’s almost like a beacon of hope for those who come to the city of sun looking to make it big. Most of the time that isn’t the case, the hopes soon fade away and disaster follows. Some of those times the sign becomes the last straw, the place where the dreams started and then ended. This is the case for one woman who almost made it famous, Peg Entwistle

Born Millicent Lilian “Peg” Entwistle in 1908 was a British screen actress that appeared in numerous Broadway plays. She did appear in one movie before her death. She ended up committing suicide by jumping off the Hollywood sign and not long after someone found her shoe and a suicide note. The body was found and it was revealed it was Peg Entwistle. Since then numerous people have reported seeing a woman jump from the sign only to have the police find nothing., Could this be the ghost of Peg reliving the day she made that horrible decision?

Missouri State Penitentiary

Have you ever wondered what the walls of a place that witnessed so much horror would say if they could speak? Especially one that’s over 185 years old and was full of violence, pain, misery, anger, and death. Missouri State Penitentiary is one of those places that you really wouldn’t want to be left alone at after dark. There have been at least 100 different paranormal investigations in this place in just a few years span, some say that number could be higher than that.

The reason being is that Missouri Stat Penitentiary is said to extremely active, anything and everything that you can think of happens here. Time Magazine once called the prison “The Bloodiest 47 Acres In America” because of all the stuff that went on in the prison when it was fully functional. When the prison was in service it was home to so many murders that it’s said the staff even lost count, this partially why this prison was decommissioned.

After the prison closed it was said there was a bunch of poltergeist activity going on, and that’s what led to the investigations of different television shows including, Most Haunted, Ghost Adventures, and Ghost Hunters.

The Real Story Behind DRACULA

If you think that the REAL Dracula was some undead blood sucking vampire you’re very wrong. The real Dracula to some was a hero and others he was a Sadistic egotistical maniac. Throughout time Vlad Dracula has become more of a myth and scary bed time story rather than a real person. When most people hear the name Dracula, they think of a vampire that can transform into a bat and fly around at night. They think of an immortal being forever cursed to walk the earth feeding upon the blood of the innocent. They think of all kinds of movies new and old that have told the story of Vampires and their evil father Dracula.

So who was DRACULA?

Vlad Dracula was a king of Transylvania which is now in modern day Romania. Bram Stoker took the name from the real life warlord and he did so because he was extremely vicious and as blood thirsty as the imaginary character he created. Dracula disemboweled his own mistress and collected noses from the corpses of his enemies, he watched his prisoners die as entertainment and was said to have captured and impaled entire armies all at once. He was a ruthless leader that wasn’t afraid to do some very terrifying things to get his point across.

A Maniac or a hero?

To his people he was a hero, he pretty much built the foundation of city and to this day it still stands. Some say he inflicted the madness upon his enemies so he would be feared and left alone. He lived in a time period where everyone was out to kill everyone else. But still who really was the man behind the cape?

Haunted Sleepy Hollow

Most if not all of you reading this are familiar with the tales of the Headless Horseman and Sleepy Hollow. There have been numerous musicals, Halloween specials, and countless stories about Sleepy Hollow. But what all do you really know about Sleepy Hollow? The town or rather village is located in New York, just a few hours from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Even though it’s a tiny place, its origins stretch back as far as the early 1600’s.

There are those that say the town is more occupied by ghosts than the living. Given the history of the town, that could very well be possible. The town is known for having all kinds of spooky locations, but there are a few that stand above the rest. There isn’t a spot in the village that isn’t said to be haunted or have some kind of paranormal history that resides within it. Hell On Earth Or Just A Story?

Illinois’s Ashmore Estates Asylum is one of those places that’s surrounded in mystery and folklore. Some say that the place is haunted beyond belief and others say that it’s all just stories and a bunch of nonsense. The stories supposedly started during the late 80’s when the asylum had a lot of trespassing and damage being done to it. The stories grew and so did the trespassing, eventually the location became a haven for rituals of various kinds. Satanists were said to run rampant during those days, there were even stories of people finding dismembered bodies. But are any of the stories true?

What is known is that there is a paranormal presence in the old asylum. Could it be the rituals conjured up something that hasn’t left? Or could it be from the negative energy that was left behind from all the years of mistreatment, sadness, and death? Some argue it’s a bit of both, others say the area itself could be responsible for all of the negative energy in the area. The True Story Behind The Movie “The Entity”

Our homes are supposed to be the places that we’re supposed to find comfort away from the hustle and bustle of the real world. We’re supposed to find safety and relaxation within the walls of our homes, but what if you didn’t have that? What if your home was your biggest threat and you became victim to an abusive thing that you couldn’t see?

Most people would think about just packing up and moving away, but what if you didn’t’ have the funds, nor means to do so? You have children and a job that you can’t leave, you don’t have enough money to go to another home, so you stuck, what then?

This is the case of the Doris Bither and the Entity!

Some say that this case was the biggest paranormal case ever in recorded history. The house that this happened in looked like your everyday average house. But something dark and evil resonated within the walls of this normal looking home, and the family inside were the victims. But once the investigators started to dig deep into the family and their history, they found out some surprising things.

There was a lot of violence in Doris’s history, and there was still some in the house, within the living realm that is. Maybe the entities fed off this energy and manifested themselves in a manner that they had enough power to do whatever they wanted to do. Some say that it was all in her mind, but those who investigated the case say otherwise.

Ghosts Or Natural Phenomenon?

The Legend of the ghost lights of Silver Cliff cemetery is a story as old as the town itself. no one really knows where the lights came from, or what they eve are. There are numerous theories but no solid proof of what they could be. Some speculate it’s a natural phenomenon, some kind of energy charge from the earth that spits out a full ball of light. Others think it’s a lifeform of some kind because of how they move and interact with each other. There are those that believe these are supernatural beings or ghosts that come out at a certain time of the night.

What is known about the these lights is that they move in an intelligent manner. They move away when people get close to them, and they also move in correlation to each other. Could they be some type of energy that’s alive? Could they be part of something else that we have no idea about? What is known is that there’s something going on in this area and it’s been happening for a very long time.

The cursed town of Bodie California

The Golden Curse

The cursed town of Bodie California got its start during the gold rush, a man by the name of William Bodey discovered a mine full of gold near a place called Bodie Bluff. He planned on creating a town around the mine but tragically froze to death before he could see his vision of a town created.

Some say that it was this that spun off the curse of the town full of gold. Bodie grew as more and more people came to find riches, but so did the problems. The winters were harsh and very unforgiving but people died just because of the weather, there was also a severe lack of food and supplies which made things even worse.

The town became a hotbed for criminal activity, and those who were fortunate enough to find gold were usually killed by the outlaws. The town eventually became so bad that people were afraid to even visit. Eventually the mines ran dry and the people left, the only thing that was left was a shell of a former town and the ghosts that still remain.

The Most Haunted Doll In The World

When you think of possessed or haunted dolls, Letta The Doll is right up there with the best of them. This doll is said to be possessed with some kind of spirit or negative energy. For years people have been saying that various dolls have been possessed like Robert and Pupa The Doll. These dolls are said to have caused various paranormal events within the homes that they’re in. sometimes these dolls move around in strange ways, other times there’s some type of ghost that’s attached to them.

However, Letta The Doll is a bit different, the doll was found by a previous owner under the house. The doll is estimated to be about 200 years old and was created by gypsys. Some say the doll was used in some kind of ritual while others say it was just a regular doll. The problem is the doll seems to cause all kinds of mischief whereever it goes. The doll got its name because an owner kept hearing “letta me out” coming from the room the doll was in. Could the doll be harboring a spirit that wants to get out of it?

Unlike other dolls, Letta the doll isn’t one that causes all kinds of negative problems. If the worst the doll does is move around and make some noise, then that’s ok.
