The Blue Moon
This Oct. 31st, 2020, trick-or-treaters and all those who are going to venture the streets in pursuit of goblins, witches, and candies will be able to look up and see a blue moon. This year we are going to have 13 full moons and 2 of those will be supermoons. The first full moon already happened in January and it was known as the “Full Wolf Moon.”
This comes from the farmer’s almanac and it’s named that because of the howling of the wolves during the cold winter nights near Native American villages. However this October we are going to have two full moons instead of one.
2 Moons In October
The second moon will be full just a day or so before Halloween providing trick or treaters with plenty of moonlight for their candy-filled adventures. Some are saying the blue moon this year is a sign of celestial events that are going to take place. Whether you believe that kind of stuff or not, the moon is going to amazing and something you don’t want to miss out on.
If you happen to miss it, you’ll get another chance to see it in the year 2039. I know that’s a long time to wait for a moon. But then again as the old saying says…. It only happens ONCE IN A BLUE MOON!
Check out this video we found explaining all the moons this year and let us know your thoughts!
