This Chicago Location Transforms Into “Christmas Vacation” Themed Pop Up Bar

A Chicago, Illinois location by the name of Houndstooth Saloon is transforming into “National Lampoons Christmas Vacation” for the holidays. What better way to spend Christmas than spending it with Cousin Eddie and his pride and joy “Snots”? Yeah I don’t think I could think of a better way to spend Christmas.

If you love the movie and plan on being in the Chicago land area anytime soon, this is one place you need to check out. The bar will take you back to the 80’s as it’s been transformed into the “Griswold” family living room,. There’s also a room with the attic type of vibe, and a tiki hut that’s inspired by the famous pool scene.

SANTA?

The food is also something like out of the movie. You can get an 80’s inspired turkey leg t.v. dinner. You can also see what aunt Bethany’s Jell-o actually tastes like, well minus the cat food.

The bar even has an RV parked out front so you can take pictures in before or after dinner. They even plan on having the theme for their new years party. So if you’re in the area, be sure to stop by!
